Turner Norman is originally from Humboldt, Saskatchewan, where he began his dance training under Jacquie Huck. After a successful performing and teaching career in Saskatchewan, Mr. Norman trained at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre in contemporary, modern, and ballet and then went on to receive his B.F.A and M.A. in Dance at York University. He has worked with many of the industry's top hip-hop, contemporary and jazz choreographers. He works as a professional dance teacher, performer and adjudicator in Ontario, Quebec and Western Canada. He also writes, presents and researches dance education, history and pedagogy. Mr. Norman has nearly 20 years of experience teaching dance to professionals of all ages. His students call him Mr. Turner. He is excited to continue teaching at his studio in the Minto community. Illustrated Movement Dance Academy has been his life-long dream. He brings his many years of teaching, performance, and choreography experience, great love of dance, and passion for teaching.
